The purpose of these 8X8 studies is to help us decided on a color scheme for the larger (12X24) final commission pieces. I hope I get them finished before I leave for Arkansas next week. I would really like to see the colors in their space in person so that I don't have to rely on a photograph. Panel 1 will get a wash of burnt red when I add the negative space circular pattern over the top. The circles will remain transparent while the negative space around the circles will have the application of color. Panel 2 still needs some work. I started losing the sun light and couldn't see my values anymore under the artificial light. It feels too flat and the contrast is way too much. Panel 3 will get a pattern of tiny light brown circles over the top.
